Taylor Root is currently seeking multiple lawyers to join our client, a leading utilities manager and developer in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will play a key role in advising the company on all legal aspects of construction and disputes and within the infrastructure and utilities sector.

There are two roles available, a Legal Counsel at 2-5 PQE and a Senior Legal Counsel at 6-12 PQE.

What you’ll be doing:

• Provide legal advice and support to the company on all matters related to construction disputes.
• Conduct legal research and provide legal opinions on relevant laws and regulations related to construction disputes in Abu Dhabi and the wider UAE.
• Handle non-contentious construction and asset management work.
• Provide training and guidance to the company's staff on legal and regulatory matters.

Who you’ll likely need to be, in order to succeed:

Whilst there is a degree of flexibility, there are some core guidelines that make the backbone of the client expectations:

• You'll need to be common law qualified and have worked at a well recognised international law firm.
• 3-12 years of experience in construction disputes, with a particular focus on infrastructure and utilities projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
• Be happy to be based in Abu Dhabi, or do regularly do the drive from Dubai. Overseas applicants are welcome.
