(In-Person) Biology Tutor

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Biology Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biology. This role involves providing personalized tutoring sessions to high school students to help them achieve academic success and prepare for their AP Biology exams.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and group tutoring sessions in Biology.
• Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to meet the individual needs of students.
• Assist students in understanding complex biological concepts, conducting laboratory work, and preparing for exams.
• Monitor and assess students' progress, providing regular feedback and adjusting teaching methods as necessary.
• Help students with homework assignments, projects, and exam preparation.
• Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.
• Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Teaching certification or relevant tutoring experience.
• Strong knowledge of Biology
• Excellent understanding of biological concepts and the ability to explain them clearly.
• Patience, flexibility, and a passion for teaching.
• Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds and varying levels of ability.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
