As a professional in your role, your responsibilities and essential job functions will include but are not limited to:

  • Handle all guest orders for in-room dining through phone or digital platforms with courtesy and efficiency.
  • Provide an exceptional level of service, reflecting the standards of a luxury hotel.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with guests in both Arabic and English.
  • Accurately record, confirm, and relay food and beverage orders to the kitchen and service team.
  • Offer menu recommendations and upsell premium items when appropriate.
  • Ensure guest requests, preferences, and dietary requirements are communicated correctly.
  • Follow up on orders to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Handle guest complaints or special requests professionally and promptly.
  • Maintain knowledge of the full menu, daily specials, and room service procedures.
  • Coordinate with kitchen, service, and housekeeping teams to ensure seamless service.
  • Ensure the order-taking area and communication equipment are always clean and organized.
  • Adhere to hotel policies, service standards, and grooming guidelines.
  • Assist with billing procedures and verify order accuracy before delivery.

Ideally, you should possess some or all the following qualifications and experience:

  • Previous experience in Food & Beverage or Guest Services within a luxury hotel or upscale dining environment.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
  • Excellent telephone etiquette and clear communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order taking.
  • Guest-focused mindset with a warm, professional, and courteous attitude.
  • Familiarity with hotel POS systems and order management software (e.g., Micros, Opera).
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and basic culinary terminology.
  • Flexible availability (including weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts if required).
  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality training or certification is an advantage.
