Topline Resource Group (TLRG) is seeking a dynamic and results-driven International Intake/Sales Specialist to serve as the primary point of contact for prospective international clients seeking high-value legal services from our US-based law firm. This role blends empathetic client intake with consultative sales techniques to qualify leads, build trust across cultures and time zones, and achieve strong conversion rates on high-ticket matters (typically $5,000–$50,000+ retainers).
The ideal candidate has a proven track record in high-ticket phone/video sales conversions, exceptional communication skills (including handling diverse accents, cultural nuances, and non-native English speakers), and prior exposure to law firm environments (e.g., immigration, international law, or complex litigation practices). You will play a key role in growing our international client base while ensuring a professional, compliant, and client-centered onboarding experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for inbound international inquiries (via phone, email, video calls, WhatsApp, or online forms) from prospective clients worldwide.
- Conduct thorough initial consultations/intakes to understand clients' legal needs, gather critical case details, assess matter viability, and qualify leads against the firm's practice areas and acceptance criteria.
- Apply high-ticket sales strategies to build rapport, address objections, educate prospects on US legal processes/services, demonstrate value, and close consultations by securing signed retainers or paid consultation fees.
- Achieve and exceed monthly/quarterly conversion targets (e.g., 30–50%+ close rate on qualified leads) for high-value international cases.
- Manage follow-ups, nurture warm leads, and coordinate timely handoffs to attorneys or paralegals for accepted cases.
- Maintain accurate records in CRM/case management systems, document all interactions, and ensure compliance with ethical rules, data privacy (GDPR, etc.), and firm policies.
- Handle sensitive, high-stakes conversations with empathy, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity, often under time pressure or across different time zones.
- Collaborate with marketing, attorneys, and support teams to improve lead quality and conversion processes.
- Provide basic guidance on next steps while clearly stating that legal advice is provided only by licensed attorneys.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Required Experience
- 2+ years in high-ticket sales (phone/video-based closing), with a demonstrated history of consistently high conversion rates.
- Prior experience in a law firm setting (intake, sales, paralegal, or client-facing role), preferably with international or immigration/cross-border clients.
- Proven success handling complex, emotional, or high-value sales conversations (e.g., legal services).
Skills & Competencies
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English (fluent, professional, persuasive, and adaptable to international/non-native speakers). Additional languages (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin, Arabic, etc.) are a strong plus.
- Strong listening, empathy, rapport-building, and objection-handling abilities.
- Consultative sales mindset with the ability to uncover needs, present solutions, and close deals ethically.
- Comfortable with video calls (Zoom, etc.) and managing international time zones/cultural differences.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with CRM tools, Google Workspace/Microsoft Office, and basic case management software.
Education
- Bachelor's degree preferred (in business, communications, legal studies, or related field); relevant certifications or paralegal training a plus.
