What You’ll Do:
- Lead all Inbound Transportation (IBT) Financial Analyses, Reporting, Metrics, and ad hoc requirements relating to Total Production Cost (TPC), Product Cost Study (PCS) / Corporate “Standard Cost-Setting” Processes, and Future Vehicle Program Assumptions.
- Lead the annual Budget development of the IBT Standards at the plant and vehicle level, ensuring that all per units, by cost category, fully align with PCS Standards
- Conduct required reconciliation/variance analyses of per units at the plant and vehicle level to support the NA PCS team and NA SCM Profit Analysis team, to ensure that the Budget Standards for IBT are correct
- Develop a monthly TPC budget at the plant and vehicle line level (including allocation of the Powertrain and Stamping plant costs), and provide explanations to the NA TPC Consolidation team to support year-over-year variances by each IBT cost category
- Provide ad-hoc reporting as needed for all levels of management
For TPC:
- Collaborate closely with IBT Finance and Operations, along with the NA and Global TPC Team Consolidation Leads, to develop the correct monthly, quarterly, and annual analyses, explanations, and overall reporting relating to the TPC metric for IBT (Logistics, Premium Freight and Green Requisitions)
- Develop monthly analyses files and executive summary supporting the monthly Business Review.
For PCS:
- Lead the annual studies and processes for setting the correct IBT Standard for all Assembly, Powertrain and Stamping Plants, along with Finished Vehicles (New Model Year vehicles)
- Proactively lead interface meetings, deliverable timelines and analyses for all North America plants, including special checkpoints with the Mexico Team for work progress, segmentation of Local vs. Import analyses, and overall data alignment with the NA PCS Team and the NA SCM Profit Consolidation Team
- Develop the correct IBT cost base and Material Cost assessment for the Powertrain and Stamping Plants
- For Assembly and Vehicle Line, develop the correct IBT cost base, considering both the TPC reported-actual levels, and the IBT Operational Standards
- Ensure that the IBT Operational Standards fully account for the new model year vehicles and incorporate and Best Cost Country assumptions
For Future Vehicle Program Assumptions:
- Work closely with IBT Operations (New Vehicle Team/Network Development) to align future model year program costings on a total IBT cost basis, and conduct reviews with senior SCM operations and finance management before submission to the program
- Conduct ad hoc studies as required
