Job Title: Inbound Travel Consultant
Job Summary:
An Inbound Travel Consultant is responsible for creating, organizing, and managing travel arrangements for tourists visiting the country. The role focuses on designing itineraries, booking accommodations, transport, and tours while ensuring guests have a seamless and memorable travel experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel Planning & Itinerary Design:
- Develop customized travel itineraries for individuals, families, and groups based on client preferences, budgets, and schedules.
- Include sightseeing, cultural experiences, leisure activities, and adventure options to enhance client experience.
- Booking & Coordination:
- Manage reservations for hotels, transportation (flights, trains, buses), and guided tours.
- Liaise with local service providers, tour operators, and suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery of services.
- Ensure bookings comply with client requirements, availability, and budget considerations.
- Customer Support & Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout their travel journey.
- Provide guidance on visas, travel documentation, and local regulations.
- Handle client inquiries, special requests, complaints, and emergencies efficiently.
- Collaboration & Networking:
- Work closely with international travel agents, corporate clients, and tourism boards.
- Maintain strong relationships with hotels, airlines, transport companies, and tour operators.
- Stay updated on travel trends, local events, and seasonal attractions to provide the best recommendations.
- Sales & Marketing:
- Promote travel packages, special tours, and seasonal offers to potential clients.
- Assist in designing marketing materials, brochures, and online content to attract inbound tourists.
- Administration & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of bookings, client details, and payments.
- Prepare regular reports on sales, client feedback, and service performance.
- Monitor budgets, invoicing, and cost management for tours and packages.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Inbound Travel Consultant or similar role in travel & tourism.
- Excellent knowledge of local destinations, cultural landmarks, and tourist attractions.
- Familiarity with GDS systems (Amadeus) and online booking platforms.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle last-minute travel changes.
- Multitasking, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
