  • G&R Inclusive Group LLC is a boutique Inclusive Educational consulting agency that has been providing professional development services to public schools, for over 15 years. Our highly qualified Coaches provide expert consulting services to help school communities implement and maintain inclusive programming. G&R’s work focuses on supporting students with Special Education services in Least Restrictive Environments (LRE).
  • G&R is currently looking for part-time Inclusion Co-Teaching coaches, in addition to coaches interested in working on a seasonal basis for short term jobs.

Responsibilities

  • A G&R Instructional Coach provides on-site and remote, district and building level intensive support to administrators, teachers and teacher teams.
  • Collaborate with teachers to model innovative ways of providing special education supports in the general education classroom by:
  • Creating new class visuals, modifying materials to address student learning style or disability
  • Brainstorming and problem solving multiple uses for classroom materials
  • Utilizing the co-teaching models
  • Creating differentiate adaptive materials for students * Provide specific feedback to teachers about lesson planning, instructional strategies, co-teaching strategies, collaboration, progress monitoring, and student assessment. This is done by conversing with the teacher through collaborative problem solving and brainstorming.
  • Coaches must have experience implementing the co-teaching models in an inclusive classroom
  • Each individual session ends with coaching notes, goal setting for the next session, follow-up resources needed, and additional email support.
  • Work day is 8:00-4:00

An instructional coach works independently as directed by a G&R supervisor and should be prepared to:

  • Travel and provide service in all five boroughs of NYC, Westchester and Putnam County
  • Manage a flexible work schedule
  • Maintain professional relationships with several clients
  • Attend at least five staff meetings a year in NYC
  • Work with team members and agency colleagues both remotely and in person to share materials and experience, co-plan and create content
  • Complete paperwork and notes as directly in a timely manner

Qualifications:

  • Master’s of Education or higher degree
  • Preferred 8 years classroom based teaching experience the majority of which should be in an inclusive co-taught public school setting
  • We accept resumes from K-12 teachers with Special Education and/or General Education licenses
  • Experience providing professional development to colleagues on a school level or higher
  • Expertise in Inclusive Education,
  • Expertise in any or all of the following areas:
  • Special Education
  • Differentiated Instruction
  • Co-Teaching
  • Co-Teaching Models
  • UDL and Instructional Designs
  • Positive Behavioral Practices
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong writing skills
  • Professional out going manner
  • Ability to travel throughout the NYC five boroughs or Westchester, Dutchess, Putnam and Rockland Counties.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
