Inclusion / SEN Teacher

The Role
The Inclusion/SEN Teacher will:

Support students with special educational needs across the school, ensuring effective inclusion within the IB framework.

Plan and deliver targeted interventions that address a variety of learning differences and challenges.

Collaborate with classroom teachers to adapt lessons, resources, and assessments for individual needs.

Develop and maintain Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.

Provide guidance to staff on best practices for differentiation and inclusive strategies.

Work closely with parents, external specialists, and school leaders to support student development.

Contribute to a culture of care, respect, and equity in the school community.
Candidate Profile

Education: Bachelor s degree in Education or a related field; a specialist qualification in Special Educational Needs / Inclusion

Experience: Minimum of 2 years teaching experience, with proven expertise in supporting students with SEN

Knowledge: Understanding of IB philosophy and inclusive practices; familiarity with a wide range of learning needs (e.g., dyslexia, ADHD, ASD).

Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and specialists.

Attributes: Empathy, adaptability, and a student-centred approach to teaching and learning.
