Income Auditor

Driven to create unique home-grown food concepts that bring people together, the Independent Food Company is a UAE-based hospitality company with multiple concepts under its umbrella – SALT, Parker's, Somewhere, Public, Soil, Shalwa and Kumo.

We are presently seeking to hire a highly qualified Income Auditor, who is responsible for auditing and verifying all revenue transactions across all type of Dine in and QSR restaurants, event and pop- up restaurants ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies and procedures. The Income Auditor ensures the accuracy and integrity of daily revenue from all casual dining outlets across multiple brands. This role involves daily auditing of POS data, third-party transactions, cash collections, and sales reports to detect discrepancies and ensure compliance with internal controls and policies. The Income Auditor plays a crucial role in preventing revenue leakage and supporting sound financial practices in a fast-paced, customer-facing restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Audit and reconcile daily POS sales reports against bank deposits, credit card settlements, and e-wallets to ensure every dirham is accounted for.
• Validate all voids, discounts, and complimentary transactions across dine-in and delivery channels to prevent revenue leakage and ensure policy compliance.
• Perform deep-dive reconciliations of aggregator platforms (Talabat, Deliveroo, Careem), verifying that payouts match sales after commissions and marketing fees.
• Conduct regular and surprise cash audits at outlets, balancing physical drawers and petty cash against system logs to eliminate variances.
• Monitor internal controls and VAT compliance, flagging irregularities or financial risks to the Finance Manager and Head of Internal Audit in real-time.
• Generate brand-wise performance reports and variance analyses, collaborating with operations and IT to resolve discrepancies and streamline month-end closing.
