Independent Therapist (1099) – Flexible Schedule | High Earning Potential

Merced Counseling Services, LLC is seeking a licensed independent therapist to join our growing behavioral health practice in New Mexico.

We are looking for a motivated, compassionate clinician who values flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to build or bring their own caseload.

Position Details

• Status: 1099 Independent Contractor
• Location: Hybrid: Albuquerque and surrounding areas. Covering all of New Mexico via telehealth.
• Schedule: Flexible – set your own hours

Compensation

• Split: 55/45 (therapist/agency)
• Higher split available for clinicians who bring an established caseload or maintain consistent volume
• Strong earning potential based on productivity

What We Provide

• Referrals and marketing support
• Billing and credentialing assistance
• EHR system access
• Administrative support
• Opportunity to integrate with CCSS and community-based services

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy
• Complete timely and accurate documentation
• Maintain compliance with Medicaid and insurance requirements
• Collaborate with team members as needed

Qualifications

• Active New Mexico independent license (LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, or Psychologist)
• Ability to work independently and manage caseload
• Experience with diverse populations preferred
