The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and passionate Hindustani Vocal Teacher to join our dedicated faculty. This is a remote, part-time/full-time position where you will conduct live, online, one-on-one and group lessons to students of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced learners.

Key Responsibilities

• Instruction: Deliver high-quality, engaging, and personalized live online lessons in Hindustani Classical Vocal Music (Khayal, Thumri, Bhajan, Ghazal, etc.).
• Curriculum: Follow and adapt LEARMY MUSIC's established curriculum, ensuring all foundational concepts are covered, including Raga structure, Tala, Alankar, Paltas, and Layakari.
• Student Assessment: Regularly assess students' progress, provide constructive feedback, and track their development using our internal platform.
• Repertoire Development: Teach students a diverse repertoire of compositions (Bandishes) within various Ragas.
• Technology & Communication: Utilize online teaching tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet, our proprietary platform) effectively to maintain a professional and seamless virtual classroom.
• Engagement: Motivate students, encourage practice, and prepare them for assessments, recitals, or certifications, as required.
• Professional Development: Participate in faculty meetings and training sessions to maintain teaching standards and share best practices.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent professional certification/Sangeet Visharad/Alankar) in Hindustani Classical Vocal Music from a recognized institution.
• Experience: A minimum of 3+ years of professional teaching experience in Hindustani Classical Vocal music, preferably including online instruction.
• Musical Proficiency: Exceptional knowledge and performance skill in the various forms and intricacies of Hindustani Vocal Music.
• Pedagogy: Proven ability to structure lessons, explain complex concepts simply, and tailor teaching methods to different learning styles and age groups.
• Technical Setup: A reliable, high-speed internet connection, a quiet teaching space, and professional-grade audio/video equipment (quality microphone and webcam).
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, patience, punctuality, and a strong professional work ethic. Fluency in Hindi and English is highly preferred.
