As an Indirect Regional Buyer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will join our team in Indirect Procurement at one of the world's largest semiconductor companies. This role involves managing the MRO Category for North America, including supplier relations, overseeing supplier performance management, pricing/delivery/invoice reconciliation, and conducting negotiations.

Locations: Boise

Collaboration—You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, crafting strategies to ensure a robust and efficient supply chain. The position partners with internal stakeholders and Global Procurement implement category strategies and related projects, including cost reduction, supply base optimization and contract negotiation.

Sourcing—With oversight from the MRO Category Lead you will source solutions and services for MRO spares and various service offerings. You will operate within established processes to support RFx activities and apply demand management.

Strategy—You will be an important part of our team's work to implement category strategies to drive savings, value, assurance of supply, quality and supplier performance within your assigned categories.

Negotiation—You will take the lead in identifying and negotiating favorable terms with suppliers and will partner with our Legal team to complete contracts (as applicable). Your ability to drive alignment with team members and support negotiation strategies will be critical for success.

Management—You will manage Micron’s relationship with key suppliers and have responsibility for holding suppliers accountable, resolving issues, and improving supplier performance.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Business Administration/ Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics or similar fields of study, preferred
  • Candidate with prior experience in similar roles preferred
  • A passion for negotiation and willingness to engage in critical conversations and advocate for Micron's interests
  • Strong problem-solving skills and detail-oriented
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group
  • Ability to work well in a dynamic environment that requires a high degree of multitasking with minimal direction
