Indirect Services Procurement Buyer

Piper Companies is hiring a highly skilled Indirect Services Procurement Buyer to support global factory operations by managing the procurement of essential indirect services. This role is responsible for contract drafting, negotiation, and vendor management to ensure compliance with FDA regulations and operational needs. The ideal candidate has a strong manufacturing background, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and can collaborate effectively with operations managers and engineers on capital projects, installation, and maintenance efforts.

Responsibilities of the Indirect Services Procurement Buyer:

• Develop and execute strategic procurement initiatives for global factories, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts based on legal templates, incorporating necessary contract language.
• Lead negotiations to resolve red-line contract issues, ensuring favorable terms for the company.
• Manage procurement for maintenance, janitorial services, engineering services, consulting services, and cleaning crews.
• Ensure compliance with FDA regulations related to indirect services procurement.
• Collaborate closely with operations managers and engineers on capital projects, including installation and maintenance activities.
• Maintain strong vendor relationships, ensuring cost-effective, high-quality service delivery.
• Identify and implement process improvements within procurement operations to enhance efficiency and compliance.

Requirements of the Indirect Services Procurement Buyer:

• 5+ years of experience in indirect procurement within manufacturing industries.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with experience handling red-line negotiations.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across all levels.
• Working knowledge of FDA regulations related to indirect services procurement.
• Ability to manage complex procurement processes across global factories.
• Proficiency in procurement software and data analysis for strategic sourcing.

Compensation of the Indirect Services Procurement Buyer:

• $40-$45 per hour
