Implements preventative maintenance schedules and checklists for all equipment in the facility
Logs and proactively communicates timeframes of maintenance items including repairs, preventative maintenance, and outside vendor schedules of equipment and facility repairs.
Diagnoses equipment malfunctions and determines appropriate repair strategies.
Assists with inventory management of maintenance supplies, parts, and tools.
Establishes and maintains logs of equipment routine maintenance and ensures appropriate vendor scheduling when needed.
Diagnoses, mentors, and trains Team Members in optimal use behaviors of equipment.
Ensures all work is performed promptly without disrupting the normal course of business for facility Team Members.
Adherence to all safety policies for equipment when maintaining or cleaning, including, but not limited to Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO).
Communicate and maintain building safety and security standards and follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines.
Uses common hand and power tools such as screwdrivers, saws, drills, wrenches, and hammers, as well as specialized equipment and electronic diagnostic testing devices.
Mentors, provides guidance, and demonstrates a comprehensive knowledge of, and ensures compliance with, relevant regulatory rules and standards, including, but not limited to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), US Department of Agriculture (USDA), State Department of Agriculture, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), Food Safety and Modernization Act (FSMA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Department of Labor, Health and Sanitation guidelines, Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and Weights and Measures.
Attends all applicable equipment and certification trainings.
Establishes and maintains collaborative and productive working relationships with stakeholders including customers, vendors, suppliers, Facility Leadership, Team Leaders, Team Members, and Store Support Teams.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
1-2 years of previous experience in maintenance within food production or manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical and mechanical systems.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret repair manuals, parts catalogues, blueprints, technical procedures, safety rules, operation/maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Can diagnose and articulate equipment and repair needs to varying levels of key stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills, attention to details, and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Ability to deliver information in a clear and concise manner to a varying level of key stakeholders.
Ability to make informed visual diagnoses of building damage and wear, developing and implementing plan for timely correction.
Demonstrated, advanced proficiency in the proper use of a dumpster, baler, forklift, box cutters, small power tools, hand tools, and other related equipment.
Basic understanding of manufacturing operations, supply change management, environmental health and safety.
Basic computer skills; proficiency in select Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); and ability to learn custom applications.
Ability to work well with others, self-motivated, and capable of working independently with little supervision.
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the facility, including nights, weekends and holidays as required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently throughout the day
Must adhere to company policies related to dress code, production standards, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals.
Exposure to temperatures: <32 degrees Fahrenheit (freezing); 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerators), >90 degrees Fahrenheit.
Ability to work in wet and dry conditions.
