JOB TITLE: INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING (IE) ASSISTANT MANAGER / LEAD

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Industrial Engineering Assistant Manager / Lead to lead our efficiency and process optimization initiatives . In a fast-paced workwear manufacturing environment, your primary mission will be to drive productivity, reduce waste, and ensure cost competitiveness across all production sections—from cutting and sewing to finishing . You will be the key driver of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement, translating production data into actionable strategies .
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiency & Productivity Management: Lead the IE department to establish and monitor productivity benchmarks. Approve SMV (Standard Minute Value) for all styles and oversee time & motion studies .
- Line Balancing & Capacity Planning: Plan and balance production lines to achieve efficiency targets. Coordinate with merchandising and planning teams to provide accurate SMV-based capacity forecasts for style costing .
- Lean & Continuous Improvement: Implement lean manufacturing principles such as 5S, Kaizen, and Six Sigma to eliminate waste . Drive continuous improvement projects across cutting, sewing, and finishing to optimize output .
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly IE performance reports. Analyze efficiency, manpower utilization, and capacity vs. actual performance, and recommend corrective actions .
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the IE team, providing training on best practices and new methodologies . Foster collaboration with Production, Quality, Planning, and HR departments .
- Standardization: Standardize operation breakdowns, methods, and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) across lines and styles . Work on cost-saving opportunities and contribute to profitability improvements .
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in Industrial Engineering within a garment manufacturing environment . Experience in workwear, PPE, or industrial clothing is a significant advantage.
- Technical Knowledge (Mandatory):
- In-depth knowledge of SMV setting, time & motion study, and line balancing .
- Proven experience in implementing lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and waste elimination initiatives .
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis and reporting .
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Textile/Clothing Technology, or a related field is preferred .
- Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present findings to senior management .
- Location: Must be willing to work at our facility in the Landhi / KEPZ area or reside nearby.
