Polytec, Inc. (a Chemtrade company) is expanding its Midwest service team. We’re looking for an experienced field professional based in Nebraska who enjoys solving problems, teaching customers, and traveling.
- Support industrial and municipal facilities with safe, reliable water treatment performance
- Help customers meet pretreatment and direct discharge permit obligations
- Represent a company with 30+ years of innovation and a fast, dependable supply network
- Install, upgrade, and start up field equipment
- Configure hardware/software and integrate PLC controls after installation
- Conduct preventive maintenance and on-demand repairs
- Troubleshoot, test, and validate system performance
- Document all work thoroughly: installs, maintenance, and repairs
- Care for and track tools, instruments, and service assets
- Coach users on safe operation and maintenance best practices
- Oversee spare-part and replacement component inventory
- Minimum 5 years in maintenance with strong electro-mechanical aptitude
- Clear communicator who enjoys working directly with customers
- Service-oriented mindset and urgency in addressing client needs
- Overnight travel readiness for 75%+ of the time within your territory
- Must reside in Nebraska
- Skills: electrical troubleshooting, electrical repair, production welding setup, broad maintenance/repair proficiency, field service readiness
- Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
- Chemical manufacturing environments (alkaline mineral slurries), with occasional exposure to other Hazmat and non-Hazmat materials
- Hot conditions (100+ °F) while wearing proper PPE
- Physical tasks include ladder/stair climbing and lifting within OSHA limits
- Outdoor elements are common—heat and cold are part of the job
