The HVAC Technician will perform field service maintenance and emergency repairs on telecommunication and data center HVAC equipment. The equipment consists of Marvair and Bard wall mount units, Carrier, Trane, Goodman residential split systems, McLean outside cabinet units and outside air economizer systems.
What you’ll do:

Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical components of commercial HVAC systems.

Daily travel to job sites in an independent work structure.

Read and understand wiring schematics, diagnostic skills on basic refrigeration and electronic control circuits utilizing the latest monitoring tools and dexterity to repair field problems.

Perform routine preventative maintenance.

Respond to emergency service requests.
What you’ll bring:
-
High School Diploma or GED.
-
200 Hours of HVAC schooling completed or 5 years of professional experience in HVAC.

Proven knowledge of HVAC systems, troubleshooting, and servicing commercial equipment.

80 hours of continuing education and/or pass the NATE Service (CHP-5) certification test.

Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Certificate.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently is required to use hands to manipulate objects, tools, or controls; and talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to walk; stoop; crouch; bend, and reach above shoulders. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance, waist high, up to 10 feet away. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to discern color. The employee must comply with the assigned location PPE requirements including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, appropriate gloves, clothing, and shields for required tasks and closed toed or safety shoes as required by facility safety policies.
