Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial painting processes and a strong understanding of safety protocols. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint using various techniques, and ensuring high-quality finishes on a range of products. The Industrial Painter will work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the overall efficiency and quality of our manufacturing operations.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary.
- Apply primer, sealer, paint, varnish, or other coatings using techniques such as spraying, brushing, or rolling. Operate HVLP and airless spray systems for precise and consistent coating applications.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate application and adherence to specifications.
- Mix and match paint colors and finishes according to project specifications.
- Inspect surfaces to ensure even application, proper coverage, and adherence to technical and quality standards. Address imperfections with touch-ups as needed.
- Document and report quality issues or equipment malfunctions to the Production Supervisor.
- Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment, ensuring safe, efficient operation and performing minor maintenance as needed.
- Assist production team with assembly and fabrication tasks as assigned, ensuring quality and efficiency in support of overall manufacturing operations.
- Keep a clean and organized work environment in compliance with company policies.
- Follow all safety protocols, including use of PPE, proper ventilation, and safe handling of chemicals. Adhere to environmental and regulatory standards for hazardous material disposal.
- Coordinate with quality control and other departments to ensure projects meet required standards and production schedules.
Skills
- Proficient in industrial painting techniques, including airless paint spraying and auto painting.
- Familiarity with basic math for measurements and calculations related to painting tasks.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments for quality control purposes.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices to improve workflow efficiency.
- Ability to operate hand tools and machinery safely, including forklifts.
- Understanding of machining processes that may relate to surface preparation or finishing work.
- Welding skills are a plus, enhancing versatility within the role.

Pay: $23.75 - $28.60 per hour
