Industrial Painter/Overhead Crane Operator

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform painting tasks, covering up to 20% of the role.
• Operate overhead cranes to move materials and assist with production processes.
• Load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling and storage.
• Perform rigging duties for equipment and materials as required.
• Read and accurately measure using a tape measure to ensure precision in production.
• Conduct respiratory fit tests and maintain safety standards for handling materials.
• Support various departments by adapting to tasks outside of painting, ensuring smooth operations across the shop.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when working with chemicals and equipment.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in painting, with an understanding of different painting techniques.
• Ability to operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other industrial equipment.
• Proficiency in rigging and loading/unloading materials.
• Experience with measuring tools, including a tape measure.
• Ability to pass a respiratory fit test.
• Strong ability to multitask and work efficiently in a dynamic environment.
• Flexibility to handle different tasks as needed in a fast-paced shop setting.
• Knowledge of safety protocols in an industrial environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
