Overview
We are seeking a detail‑oriented, skilled Seamstress to join our finishing and fabrication team within a large-format display and graphics printing environment. This role focuses on sewing and fabric finishing for printed soft‑signage products such as banners, backdrops, silicone-edge graphics (SEG), and custom textile displays. The ideal candidate has industrial sewing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production setting.
Key ResponsibilitiesSewing & Fabric Finishing
- Operate industrial sewing machines (e.g., walking-foot, serger, straight stitch) to finish printed fabrics and graphic materials.
- Sew hems, pole pockets, zippers, and Velcro for banners and display graphics.
- Produce silicone-edge (SEG) seams and other specialty fabric finishing techniques.
- Ensure high-quality seams, alignment accuracy, and professional finishing standards.
Production Support
- Inspect printed materials for defects before and after sewing.
- Measure, cut, and prepare fabrics according to job specifications.
- Work with production staff to meet daily schedules and deadlines.
- Assist with installation prep, reinforcement, grommet placement, and other finishing work when needed.
Quality Control
- Maintain consistency in stitching, tension, alignment, and overall product quality.
- Identify and correct defects, material flaws, or sewing machine performance issues.
- Follow company standards and project instructions with accuracy.
Equipment Care
- Perform basic maintenance on sewing machines (threading, cleaning, tension adjustments).
- Report mechanical issues and ensure tools and work areas remain clean and organized.
QualificationsRequired
- 1–3 years of experience as a seamstress, tailor, or sewing machine operator.
- Proficiency with industrial sewing machines and fabric-handling techniques.
- Ability to read measurements, follow specifications, and work on custom projects.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to stand, lift, and handle large rolls of fabric as needed.
Preferred
- Experience working in a large-format printing or soft signage environment.
- Knowledge of SEG finishing, banner sewing, and textile display fabrication.
- Familiarity with production workflows and job-ticket systems.
Working Conditions
