Job Summary

Seeking a Technician to support industrial cleaning and emergency response operations, including oil spill cleanup, equipment maintenance, and hazardous material handling. The role involves operating high-pressure water blasting equipment, power tools, and heavy machinery, as well as performing general labor tasks in varying environmental conditions.

Job Description

• Clean equipment or areas contaminated with oil or other hazardous, toxic, or caustic materials using detergents and solvents, pressure washers, absorbent pads, filter pumps, drum skimmers, and marco skimmers
• Operate extremely high-pressure water blast equipment to clean heavy industrial equipment (pipe, boilers, tanks, heat exchangers, bundles, barges)
• Responding to industrial emergencies such as oil spills, train derailments, and hazardous material leaks
• Assist in the removal of soil, debris, and other materials to clean up spill sites
• Perform general housekeeping tasks such as sweeping, organizing, cleaning, lawn care, and other assigned tasks
• Operate or assist in the operation of power tools and heavy equipment such as skid steers, mini excavators, track hoes, and backhoes
• Load, hook up, break down vacuum truck hoses and other equipment
• Assist in the inspection of equipment, hoses, connections, pumps, and the general work area
• Cleanup work area and equipment after work is completed
• Complete all appropriate paperwork, including service receipts
• Work with co-workers as a team to maintain a safe working environment

Skills Required

• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and hot, cold, or wet environments.
• Ability to perform work in enclosed (confined) spaces, under close supervision.
• Physically capable of standing, shoveling, and performing other types of physical work for long periods of time.

Education/Training/Certifications

• Work Hours: Mon to Fri, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Pay Rate/Salary

• $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors
