Full-Time Infant Nanny
Position Overview
An Infant Nanny provides attentive, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate care for infants (newborn to 12 months). This role requires a high level of responsibility, knowledge of infant care best practices, and a calm, patient demeanor. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-focused, and passionate about supporting early childhood development.
Compensation:
$18 - $20 hourly
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities

Provide safe, loving, and responsive care for infants at all times

Follow established feeding schedules (breastmilk, formula, introduction to solids as appropriate)

Change diapers regularly and maintain proper hygiene practices
-
Support healthy sleep routines, including safe sleep practices (AAP guidelines)

Engage in age-appropriate developmental activities (tummy time, sensory play, reading, singing)
-
Monitor developmental milestones and communicate progress with parents
-
Maintain a clean and organized environment for the child (nursery, bottles, toys)

Sterilize bottles, pump parts, and feeding equipment
-
Handle infant laundry as needed
-
Comfort and soothe infant using appropriate techniques

Safely transport infant when required (if applicable)
Safety & Health Responsibilities

Maintain constant supervision of the infant

Practice safe sleep guidelines (placing baby on back, empty crib, etc.)

Be trained in infant CPR and First Aid
-
Recognize signs of illness or distress and communicate concerns promptly
-
Follow all family-specific care instructions and routines
-
Adhere to water safety and general household safety practices
Qualifications:-
Prior experience caring for infants (newborn experience required)

Strong understanding of infant development and care routines

Infant CPR & First Aid Certification (required)

Background check and clean driving record
-
Non-smoker
-
Reliable, punctual, and professional

Excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications

Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) certification or similar training

Experience with sleep training methods

Familiarity with baby-led weaning or early feeding practices
-
Experience working with multiple children or in private homes
Work Environment & Expectations

In-home care setting
-
May require flexibility in scheduling (early mornings, evenings, occasional weekends)

Must maintain confidentiality and professionalism within the family’s home
-
Minimal personal phone use while on duty
Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry infants (up to 30 lbs)

Comfortable sitting, kneeling, and engaging in floor play
-
Ability to remain alert and attentive for extended periods
