Infant Nanny

Job Summary

A professional family in Austin is seeking a career nanny / infant care professional to provide exceptional care for their infant in a warm, nurturing home environment.

The baby will be approximately 5 months old at the start of the position in June 2026.

This role begins as a part-time position through January 2027, with a transition into a full-time, long-term role. For the right candidate, hours may increase sooner based on overall fit and the evolving needs of the family.

The family is seeking a caregiver who is interested in building a meaningful, long-term relationship and taking an active role in supporting their child’s development as they grow.

Schedule

Part-Time (June 2026 – January 2027):

  • 4–5 days per week
  • 6–8 hours per day
  • Some weekend availability may be requested

Full-Time (Beginning January 2027 or sooner for the right candidate):

  • 6 days per week
  • Approximately 10-hour shifts preferred

The family is open to structuring the full-time schedule across one or two caregivers if needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, developmentally focused care for the infant
  • Take ownership of daily routines including feeding, naps, and structured engagement
  • Support age-appropriate developmental milestones through intentional interaction
  • Prepare meals for the child as they grow into solids
  • Maintain organization of the child’s spaces and belongings
  • Provide thoughtful household support aligned with the family’s needs, including occasional errands
  • Collaborate with parents to maintain consistency in routines and care approaches

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a professional nanny or infant care provider
  • Strong understanding of infant development and early childhood milestones
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience working in private home settings preferred
  • Demonstrated reliability and longevity in previous roles

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

  • Infant care: 10 years (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

  • 25% (Preferred)
