Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development in infants.
  • Provide attentive infant care, including feeding, diapering, soothing, and ensuring safety at all times.
  • Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning while adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Observe and document each child's developmental milestones, behaviors, and individual needs to inform personalized care plans.
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, routines, and any concerns that arise.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan curriculum activities that support early childhood education principles and developmental goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, safety protocols, and best practices related to childcare and early childhood education.

Qualifications

  • 2 years experience working with infants in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting or similar caregiving roles.
  • Knowledge of childhood development stages and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus.
  • Strong classroom management skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities.
  • Ability to create engaging activities that stimulate growth while maintaining a safe environment for infants.
  • Experience with behavior management techniques suitable for young children.
