Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Teacher / Lead Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in a dynamic educational environment. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that support early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional skills
- Create a welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and positive behavior management
- Plan and execute engaging lessons tailored to diverse learning needs, including special education and early intervention strategies
- Support children’s developmental milestones by observing progress and providing individualized guidance
- Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress, behavior, and classroom activities
- Manage daily classroom routines, including transitions, meal times, nap schedules, and safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members to develop classroom activities that promote inclusive learning experiences for all children
- Ensure compliance with childcare regulations, standardized testing requirements, and health & safety standards
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Experience with curriculum development across various subjects such as literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods
- Proven ability to work effectively with children of different ages, including toddlers and preschoolers
- Expertise in classroom management techniques to foster a positive learning environment
- Familiarity with special education needs and early intervention strategies to support diverse learners
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to plan lessons that incorporate innovative teaching methods like tutoring or hands-on activities
- Knowledge of standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood programs
- Experience in daycare or private school settings is preferred
- Passion for child welfare, childcare excellence, and promoting healthy emotional development
Assistant Teacher - Minimum High School Diploma and minimum 1 year proven experience
Lead Teacher - MSDE Qualifications (including 90 hours) and minimum 1 year proven experience.
