Job Summary

Family Tree Nurturing Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our nurturing team. As a teacher, you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for young children. You'll guide the classroom, foster emotional and cognitive growth, and build strong relationships with families.

Responsibilities

  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
  • Monitor children's behavior and ensure their safety at all times
  • Assist with feeding, diapering, and personal hygiene tasks
  • Foster positive relationships with families and provide regular updates
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom in compliance with licensing standards
  • Prepare food and support mealtime routines
  • Attend staff meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions
  • Follow all center policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • CDA preferred (we’ll help you earn it!)
  • Experience in preschool or childcare setting preferred
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Able to lift up to 30 pounds and engage in active play
  • Must be able to bend, kneel, or sit on the floor
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
  • Background check required upon hiring
