Infant Toddler Teacher Assistant

Roots Early Learning Center is growing, and we’re looking for a warm, reliable, and energetic Assistant Teacher to join our team! We’re a play-based, relationship-centered program where our goal is to support each child’s social-emotional development, curiosity, and sense of belonging.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Support daily routines in the infant room with warmth, patience, and attentiveness
• Maintain a clean, safe, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment
• Communicate with families through Brightwheel in a professional, timely manner
• Assist with diapering, feeding, supervision, and individualized care
• Engage in intentional play, gentle interactions, and responsive caregiving
• Collaborate closely with lead teachers and team members to meet each child’s needs
• Help create and maintain a positive, joyful learning environment

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED (required)
• Ability to work well with a team and communicate kindly and professionally
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days
• Prior experience in early childhood or infant care is a plus
• ECE college credits are a plus!

Compensation:

Salary is dependent on experience and education level. Competitive pay and opportunities for growth within the center.
