Infant/Toddler Class Teacher

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Toddler Teacher to inspire and nurture the youngest learners in our early childhood education program ages (18 months-2 years old). In this vital role, you will create a warm, engaging, and safe environment where toddlers can explore, learn, and develop essential skills. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help lay the foundation for lifelong curiosity and growth, making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families.

Duties

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development for toddlers
  • Foster a nurturing environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive interactions among children
  • Supervise daily activities including playtime, circle time, arts and crafts, and rest periods with enthusiasm and patience
  • Monitor children’s behavior using effective behavior management strategies to promote good conduct and emotional well-being
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times, including proper supervision during activities and emergency preparedness procedures
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns
  • Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that supports learning and safety standards in childcare settings

Experience

  • Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or nannying roles with a focus on toddler care (18 months-2years)
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
  • Experience managing classroom activities for young children while fostering positive behavior management techniques
  • Certification in first aid and CPR to ensure safety during emergencies
  • Familiarity with special education needs and working with children with disabilities is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to create engaging lesson plans tailored to toddlers’ developmental stages
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with parents, colleagues, and caregivers

Education

  • 12 semester units in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development
  • OR 6 units in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development , must be working toward 12
  • At least 3 of those units (1 class) must be Infant/Toddler-specific
