Infant/Toddler Teacher Assistant

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Infant and Toddler Teacher Aide to support our educators in providing exceptional care and education for infants and toddlers within our program. In this role, you will be instrumental in fostering a secure and nurturing environment conducive to the learning and development of young children. Our organization operates as a small, home-based childcare facility, committed to cultivating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for both children and staff. We aim to provide a comfortable, home-like setting. Your responsibilities will include assisting teachers with the implementation of activities and curriculum designed to support developmental milestones. You will also address the physical and emotional needs of infants, including feeding, diapering, and comforting. Furthermore, you will be responsible for observing and documenting the developmental progress of infants, maintaining regular communication with parents and guardians. Daily maintenance of a clean and organized classroom is required, encompassing tasks such as vacuuming, floor cleaning, toy sanitization, high chair wiping, bathroom cleaning, diapering station upkeep, laundry, and kitchen maintenance. Adherence to all state regulations pertaining to infant care and education is mandatory. You will also be expected to participate in professional development opportunities to remain current with best practices in infant care and education. Qualifications: A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required. Prior experience working with infants and toddlers in a licensed childcare setting is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of infant and toddler development and care principles is essential. Effective communication skills for interacting with parents and teachers are necessary. Current certification in CPR and First Aid is a prerequisite. Successful registration in the Criminal Background Registry is required prior to employment.

$20/hr DOE and steps on your ORO.
