Infection Control Nurse

• Surveillance: Monitoring for healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and identifying trends.
• Policy Development: Creating and implementing policies and procedures for infection prevention and control.
• Education: Training healthcare staff on proper infection control practices, such as hand hygiene and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Outbreak Investigation: Investigating outbreaks of infectious diseases to determine causes and implement control measures.
• Consultation: Providing expert advice and support to healthcare teams on infection control issues.
• Compliance: Ensuring the facility adheres to local, state, and federal health regulations and guidelines.
• Data Reporting: Collecting and reporting infection data to relevant authorities.
• Staff Health: Monitoring and assisting with work-related illnesses or exposures among staff, including providing care and managing work restrictions
