Job Description:

The Informatics Nurse promotes the strategic and innovative use of information systems and data to support and enhance nursing practice. The Informatics Nurse translates clinical practice and processes into technology solutions to advance nursing and inter-professional practice and communication. They ensure technology solutions improve patient and community outcomes and enhance the ability of the inter-professional team to provide evidence-based patient/family centered care. The Informatics Nurse collaborates with partners across the organization to deliver a digital environment that seamlessly promotes evidence-based nursing care, improved workflows, enhanced patient safety, and exceptional usability.

This role serves as a liaison between information systems end-users with the overall objective of improving the use of application systems functionality, i.e., enhance work flow, optimize business processes, and identify appropriate systems solutions.

Qualifications:

Education : Bachelor of Science Nursing degree upon hire required. Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare within 5 years. Master's degree in Nursing Informatics preferred.

Certification/Registration/Licensure : Registered Nurse (RN) licensed minimally in the state of WI. Informatics Nursing Certification through ANCC desired.

Experience : 3-4 years of relevant RN experience. If no informatics experience or education Informatics Nursing Certification through ANCC required within 3 years
