Role Description

  • The Information Security Senior Specialist is a seasoned leader (15+years) in protecting the organization’s digital assets.
  • Operating within the Chief Security Office (CSO), this role is instrumental in shaping, implementing, and governing enterprise-wide data security strategies. Leveraging extensive experience, you will ensure that all initiatives are fully aligned with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and the rapidly evolving threat landscape.
  • In this capacity you will act as the Delivery Lead for Data Security initiatives. This means you will be responsible not only for providing deep technical security expertise, but also for driving the successful delivery of complex data security projects and programs.
  • You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, combining your security knowledge with proven project management and leadership skills to ensure robust data protection solutions and foster a culture of security awareness across the organization.
  • You will focus on critical areas within the Data Security domain, such as Unstructured Data Discovery and Classification, Data Security Posture Management (DSPM), and Data Loss Prevention (DLP), ensuring the organization remains resilient against emerging threats and compliant with industry standards.

Your key responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with internal security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in data security, privacy, and information protection.
  • Identify and assess potential threat areas, implementing appropriate remediation measures.
  • Shape and maintain the organization’s security capabilities, ensuring they evolve with emerging risks and technologies.
  • Develop and provide forward-looking strategies for effective information security management across the organization.
  • Lead the delivery of data security projects and initiatives.
  • Oversee end-to-end project management, from planning to post-delivery support.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Mentor and guide team members, fostering continuous improvement of processes and delivery approaches.
  • Report on project progress, risks, and achievements to senior management.

Your skills and experience

  • Proven delivery of large-scale, complex security projects in regulated, fast-paced environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end project lifecycles, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and delivery within scope and timelines.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing data security frameworks and architectures (e.g., DLP, DSPM, unstructured data discovery/classification, encryption, tokenization).
  • Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, GDPR, SOX, PCI DSS), with a track record of ensuring compliance and passing audits.
  • Evaluated, selected, and managed relationships with security vendors and technology partners.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, and developing cross-functional and multicultural teams; fostering a culture of continuous improvement and security awareness.
  • Effective collaboration with business, IT, and executive stakeholders to define requirements, communicate risks, and deliver business-aligned security solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive reporting and delivery training.
  • Holds relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, PMI-PMP, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated commitment to staying current with emerging threats, technologies, and industry trends through ongoing education and professional development.
