Technology Information Systems Analyst
Overview
The Information Systems Analyst (ISA) will support the Technology Infrastructure function. The ISA will work under the direction of the Technology Manager who reports directly to the Director.
The ISA will provide technical expertise and support for the VTABSV.com tenant and supporting IT Infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, enhanced security, and effective resolution of technical issues.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Employment Standards
Sufficient training, education, and experience maintaining computer information systems and computer servers to demonstrate possession of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Development of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is typically obtained through a combination of training and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a four-year degree in computer science or a related field, and four (4) years of responsible experience performing technical and analytical tasks in support of computer information systems and computer servers. (Additional applicable experience with technical and analytical tasks in support of computer information systems and computer server substitutes for college on a year for year basis.)
Mid-Level. ISA – Minimum of 3 years of experience performing functions described above.
Entry-Junior Level. ISA – New graduates with Computer Science or related Majors will be considered. Must demonstrate aptitude and ability to perform functions described above.
Technical Requirements
Operating Systems & Hardware
Proficiency with Windows operating systems
Technology Information Systems Analyst
Experience with PC hardware assembly, upgrades, and troubleshooting
Networking
Understanding of IP addressing, DNS, DHCP
Basic network troubleshooting skills
Identity & Access Management
Experience with Active Directory, including user account management and group policies
Remote Support Tools
Familiarity with remote support technologies such as RDP and TeamViewer
Security
Knowledge of endpoint protection, system patching, and compliance
Awareness of cybersecurity best practices
Application & Systems Support
Ability to diagnose and resolve application issues
Strong customer-service orientation with the ability to communicate with non-technical users
Experience documenting work in ticketing systems
Ability to create and update technical documentation and user processes

General Duties & Responsibilities
Technical & System Support
Provide system administration, configuration, and user support
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly
Deliver Tier 1 through 3 technical support as needed
Support VTA Technology & Cybersecurity teams in preventive, incident response, and remediation activities
Project & Documentation Responsibilities
Take ownership of planning, implementing, managing, and completing assigned project tasks
Develop technical requirements, system configurations, data flow diagrams, and architecture documentation
Support business requirements validation and collaborate with SMEs during Discovery sessions
Identify improvement opportunities and propose enhancements
Create or contribute to documentation related to project deliverables
Operational & Infrastructure Support
Track and report work through the VTABSV ticketing system
Assist with asset inventory management for hardware, software, and licensing
Provide staffing support to the IT Helpdesk as needed
Provide user onboarding and offboarding support
Support field office setup activities
Assist with equipment moves and workspace transitions
Security & Compliance Support
Assist with maintaining Microsoft security infrastructure, including:
o
Intune
o
Defender
o
Security Compliance
o
Purview
Review security logs, enforce security protocols, and support security procedures
Work with CrowdStrike AV systems
Work within Microsoft Azure and Active Directory environments
Collaboration & Communication
Coordinate with internal teams, stakeholders, and external vendors
Provide mentorship and knowledge transfer to BSVII Technology IT staff
Maintain professional, customer-service-focused communication at all times
Support ad hoc IT requests as directed by VTA IT
Performance Expectations
Key performance indicators, deliverables, and milestone expectations will be discussed during the interview process and evaluated throughout the assignment based on the quality, timeliness, and effectiveness of technical and project support provided.
Pay: $65.00 - $85.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
