Job Description and Duties
Working Conditions
This role involves sitting at a computer for long periods, using standard office equipment like keyboards, mice, monitors, printers, and copiers. Work is done in a climate-controlled office. You may need to lift or move equipment weighing up to 60 pounds, with or without accommodation. Core hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM but occasional after-hours or weekend work may be required for maintenance or repairs. Some travel may be required. May be around blind or visually impaired students. May be required to escort student during fire drills or emergencies. This position is also on an open school campus and may be around service animals.
** This position has two pay differentials: Pay Differential 13 - Bay Area Recruitment and Retention Pay of 5% of the base salary and Pay Differential 515 - State Special Schools Recruitment and Retention of 10% of the base salary. The pay differentials are not included in the salary as listed below. **
** Effective July 1, 2025, in accordance with the applicable Memorandum of Understanding, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented. PLP 2025 requires each full-time employee in Bargaining Unit 20, and related Excluded, Exempt and Statutory Exempt employees, will have their base salary reduced by 3 percent and will receive 5 hours of PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027. **
