About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and technically strong
IT Specialist
to join the delivery team for a major
international football tournament
taking place across Riyadh and Jeddah. The ideal candidate will thrive in the
high-pressure, fast-paced environment
of large-scale sports events and be capable of handling complex IT operations in
stadiums, broadcast areas, and event control centers.
This position requires a
hands-on professional
who can ensure seamless IT functionality during all stages â from setup and testing to live operations and de-rig.
Key Responsibilities
-
Oversee the
installation, configuration, and maintenance
of IT infrastructure, including computers, laptops, servers, printers, switches, routers, and cabling across assigned venues.

Provide
technical support
to tournament staff, volunteers, and operational teams during build-up, event, and dismantle phases.

Ensure
uninterrupted network performance
, managing Wi-Fi and LAN connectivity, bandwidth allocation, and network access control.
-
Handle
incident management
, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and resolving them promptly to minimize downtime.

Manage
user accounts, credentials, and system permissions
while ensuring compliance with organizational security protocols.

Support system integration with key departments including
Venue Technology, Broadcast, Accreditation, Ticketing, and Operations.

Maintain and update
IT asset inventory
and ensure proper documentation of all technical equipment deployed on-site.

Conduct
pre-event testing, system readiness checks, and live monitoring
during event days.

Ensure
data protection and cybersecurity
measures are followed, including antivirus protection, secure data transfers, and restricted access to sensitive systems.

Collaborate with central IT teams and vendors to deploy event-time systems efficiently and ensure alignment with overall IT strategy.
Requirements
-
Bachelorâs degree in
Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum
3â5 years of professional experience
in IT support, infrastructure management, or system administration â
experience in stadiums, large events, or sporting tournaments is highly preferred.

In-depth knowledge of
LAN/WAN configuration, cabling, and IP addressing.

Strong command over
Windows OS, Microsoft 365 Suite, and Active Directory.

Working knowledge of
Cisco or equivalent networking systems
and
Wi-Fi access point management.

Familiarity with
event-time technologies
such as accreditation systems, ticketing software, and command center IT setups.

Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, with the ability to work calmly under pressure.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with multi-departmental teams.

Flexibility to work
evenings, weekends, and extended hours
during tournament operations.

High attention to detail, proactive approach, and
strong documentation discipline.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a dynamic, time-sensitive environment.
