Job Summary:

Completes documented tasks to help maintain the integrity of the electronic health record/ associated software systems and provide operational support to the Electronic Health Record (EHR) team and colleagues throughout the organization.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Learn and becomes proficient in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Participates in on-call/after-hours support schedules.
  • Supports the EHR team in data cleanup as it relates to duplicate patient remediation, patient identity concerns, charting error identification and other ad hoc tasks as required to maintain a healthy patient record database.
  • Provides operational support including data editing, user provisioning, and table maintenance as needed for various projects and daily operational tasks.
  • Creates and validates MyChart (patient portal) accounts.
  • Supports daily problem identification by monitoring various reports/work queues, resolving errors and escalating to the responsible team members when necessary.
  • Interacts effectively with colleagues and customers resulting in objectives being accomplished.
  • Learns and becomes proficient in Service Now to support the team.
  • Learns and becomes proficient in Microsoft Office to support the team.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

  • High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience

EXPERIENCE

  • One year of related business experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
  • Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
  • Rare climbing.
