The role requires a proactive and skilled Infrastructure Support Engineer with 3-4 years of hands-on experience in managing and supporting enterprise IT environments. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise across on-prem and cloud platforms, virtualization technologies, system administration, and automation. This position involves resolving complex technical issues, ensuring smooth infrastructure operations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Excellent troubleshooting abilities, effective communication, and the flexibility to work in shifts are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and resolve application, system, and infrastructure issues in coordination with development, operations, and business teams

Manage and support virtualization platforms such as VMware or equivalent technologies

Provide L1 and L2 support for production applications, including monitoring, incident response, and maintenance

Offer desktop and end-user support for hardware, software, and network-related problems

Utilize monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog) to create custom dashboards, track alerts, and provide proactive issue prevention

Manage patching cycles and upgrade schedules for servers and client systems
-
Perform system health checks, log analysis, and root-cause investigations

Administer Linux servers with a focus on performance, reliability, and security

Support Azure cloud administration and collaborate with external stakeholders or vendors

Use automation tools to streamline daily operational tasks

Coordinate projects involving multiple teams and vendors

Provide advanced troubleshooting across system, application, and network layers

Work in rotational shifts, including nights, and participate in on-call support during weekdays, weekends, and holidays

Collaborate with network teams to support switches, routers, firewalls, and access points

Use ITSM tools like ServiceNow or BMC Helix while adhering to change management processes
What Makes You a Great Fit

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience

3-5 years of experience as an Infrastructure Support Engineer in enterprise environments

Strong background in Windows Server management and Active Directory administration

Experience with patch management tools such as SCCM, WSUS, or Intune

Proficiency in VMware virtualization technologies

Basic understanding of networking concepts including routers, switches, and firewalls

Strong troubleshooting skills with experience using infrastructure monitoring tools

Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) and basic cloud administration

Hands-on experience with alert monitoring tools like Datadog, Splunk, or LogicMonitor

Basic experience working with external teams or vendor coordination

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
