Role Overview

NTT DATA's Client is currently seeking an Architect to join their team in Irving, TX. The Architect will be responsible for designing and evolving reliable, scalable, and automated production environments for business-critical systems. This role builds on hands-on experience in infrastructure and production support and extends it into architecture, automation strategy, and operational improvement.

The Architect will work closely with infrastructure, application, and production support teams to reduce operational risk, improve stability, and drive automation-led efficiency across environments. The role plays a key part in an ongoing technology and operations transformation, particularly in regulated and high-availability environments.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Design
  • Design and maintain infrastructure and platform architectures that support highly available and resilient production systems.
  • Define standardized architecture patterns for environments, deployments, monitoring, and recovery.
  • Ensure infrastructure designs align with security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support capacity planning, resilience planning, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Drive automation across production support, including environment provisioning, deployments, monitoring, and incident response.
  • Identify manual, repetitive operational processes and replace them with automated solutions.
  • Establish standards and best practices for Infrastructure-as-Code and operational automation.
  • Improve system stability by designing for self-healing, observability, and faster recovery.
Production Support & Reliability
  • Provide architectural oversight for production support processes, including incident, problem, and change management.
  • Support root cause analysis for major incidents and ensure long-term fixes are built into architecture and automation.
  • Partner with support teams to improve service levels, reliability, and end-user experience.
  • Ensure solutions are designed with operability and supportability in mind from day one.
Collaboration & Governance
  • Act as a bridge between infrastructure teams, application teams, and operations.
  • Work with delivery teams to ensure architectural standards are followed during implementation.
  • Communicate architectural decisions, trade-offs, and risks clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support short- to medium-term planning for infrastructure and automation initiatives.
  • Mentor engineers and support teams on best practices and operational design patterns.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Strong experience in infrastructure engineering, platform operations, or production support, with increasing architectural responsibility.
  • Proven experience driving automation in production environments.
  • Solid understanding of how infrastructure design impacts system stability, performance, and operational cost.
  • Experience working in enterprise or regulated environments.
  • Good understanding of modern infrastructure and cloud-based platforms.
  • Familiarity with automation, configuration management, and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts.
  • Experience supporting high-availability, business-critical systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze issues across infrastructure, applications, and operations.
  • Experience working within Agile or DevOps-aligned delivery models.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting hourly range for this remote role is **($x - x/hourly)**. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on several factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.

This position is eligible for company benefits that will depend on the nature of the role offered. Company benefits may include medical, dental, and vision insurance, flexible spending or health savings account, life, and AD&D insurance, short-and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program with company match, and additional voluntary or legally required benefits.

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting hourly range for this role is $64.44/hr to $74.44/hr on W2. Actual compensation will depend on several factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position is eligible for company benefits that will depend on the nature of the role offered. Company benefits may include medical, dental, and vision insurance, flexible spending or health savings account, life, and AD&D insurance, short-and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program with company match, and additional voluntary or legally required benefits.
