The
Commercial Manager
is responsible for leading all commercial and quantity surveying functions on infrastructure projects, ensuring effective cost control, contract administration, risk management, and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle. The role supports successful project delivery while maximizing value and minimizing commercial risk.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead project cost planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control activities.

Prepare, review, and manage Bills of Quantities (BOQ).

Administer contracts (FIDIC or similar) and ensure contractual compliance.

Develop procurement strategies in coordination with project teams.

Work closely with project managers, engineers, planners, and procurement teams.

Prepare detailed commercial reports for senior management.

Measure and value works executed on site in accordance with contract terms.

Certify subcontractor interim payments and final accounts.

Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets and report cost variances.

Prepare monthly valuations, cost reports, and financial forecasts.
REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Civil or Mechanical Engineering.

7–10 years of experience in commercial / quantity surveying roles within infrastructure projects.

Strong experience with standard forms of contract (FIDIC preferred).

Proven track record in claims management, cost control, and final accounts.
