Infrastructure Director

The Infrastructure Director is responsible for defining and leading the organization’s infrastructure strategy, ensuring scalable, secure, and cost-efficient technology platforms that support business growth and digital transformation.

This role provides executive oversight across data centers, cloud platforms, networks, security operations, database services, and DevOps enablement. The Director will drive long-term planning, governance, and operational excellence while aligning infrastructure capabilities with business objectives and enterprise architecture.


Key Responsibilities :

Infrastructure Strategy & Transformation

  • Define and execute the enterprise infrastructure strategy aligned with organizational goals and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Lead modernization programs (cloud adoption, automation, platform standardization, and legacy transformation).
  • Establish long-term roadmaps covering scalability, resilience, and innovation.

Enterprise Infrastructure Governance

  • Establish governance frameworks, policies, and standards across infrastructure domains.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (NCA, DMO, ISO 27001) and internal controls.
  • Drive risk management, audit readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Data Center, Network & Cloud Leadership

  • Provide executive oversight of on-prem data centers, network architecture, and hybrid/multi-cloud environments (Azure, GCP).
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and resilience of all infrastructure services.
  • Oversee disaster recovery and business continuity strategies at an enterprise level.

Security & Risk Integration

  • Partner with cybersecurity leadership to embed security-by-design principles across all infrastructure layers.
  • Oversee infrastructure-related security posture including vulnerability management, patching strategies, and incident response readiness.

Platform & Service Ownership

  • Ensure reliable and scalable delivery of infrastructure services including:
  • Database platforms (SQL/NoSQL)
  • System administration (Windows & Linux)
  • DevOps and CI/CD enablement
  • Drive platform standardization, automation, and service optimization.

Financial & Vendor Management

  • Own and optimize the infrastructure budget, ensuring cost efficiency and ROI.
  • Lead strategic vendor partnerships, contract negotiations, and SLA governance.
  • Drive cloud financial management (FinOps) and cost optimization strategies.

Leadership & Organizational Development

  • Build and lead a high-performing infrastructure organization across multiple domains.
  • Define organizational structure, capabilities, and succession planning.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Stakeholder & Executive Engagement

  • Act as a key advisor to executive leadership on infrastructure strategy and risks.
  • Collaborate with business units to ensure infrastructure supports operational and strategic needs.
  • Communicate performance, risks, and transformation progress to senior stakeholders.

Performance, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Define KPIs and SLAs for infrastructure services and ensure consistent performance tracking.
  • Lead incident governance, post-incident reviews, and systemic improvements.
  • Drive data-driven decision-making across infrastructure operations.


Job Requirements:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Master’s degree is a plus.

Experience

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure.
  • At least 5+ years in a managerial/lead role overseeing teams or large‑scale infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale infrastructure environments and transformation initiatives.

Strong expertise in:

  • Enterprise infrastructure architecture (on-prem & cloud)
  • Cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) and hybrid models
  • Infrastructure security and compliance
  • DevOps and platform engineering practices


Leadership & Competencies

  • Strong strategic thinking and business alignment capability.
  • Executive-level stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead large, cross-functional teams.
  • Financial acumen with experience managing large budgets.
  • Decision-making driven by data, risk awareness, and business impact.
