Injury Defense and Maritime Attorney

Cole, Scott & Kissane seeks an attorney with 5-9 years of experience to work in a practice group that handles both bodily injury defense and maritime law.

Responsibilities:

• Take and defend depositions
• Draft and argue dispositive motions
• Attend hearings, mediations, and trials
• Perform legal research and provide analysis of case law
• Prepare pleadings and correspondence
• Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel
• Provide exemplary legal counsel to clients

Qualifications:

• Must be a licensed member of the Florida Bar
• Must have 3-5 years of experience defending bodily injury matters
• Prior experience in maritime law is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Problem-solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
