Innerwear/ Intimates Designer:

Partner with our Design Director and SVP of Women’s design to prepare and present seasonal Lifewear design ideas, highlighting key trends and strategic direction.

Analyze past seasons and suggest new ideas to help better our customer’s life, drive innovation, and excite our customers.

Lead design from concept through final product. Develop seasonal assortments with a strong focus on fit, fabric, and trend-right silhouettes, always through the lens of our LifeWear philosophy and the Uniqlo customer.

Conduct ongoing market and trend research to identify new fabrications, color stories, and silhouettes. Translate insights into mood boards, color palettes, sketches, and CADs that inform and inspire seasonal development.

Collaborate closely with Production, and Merchandising to ensure a strong and successful product assortment and ultimate execution

Attend fittings and provide strategic feedback to maintain design integrity and alignment with business goals and customer needs

Partner with Print Designers to develop seasonal print direction and apply to suitable silhouettes.

Act as a key liaison with Merchandising, Tech, Production, and Print teams to ensure alignment from concept through production. Monitor milestone calendars to ensure timely execution of seasonal deliverables

Participate in hindsight reviews to evaluate product performance and gather customer insights. Apply feedback to refine future collections and respond to evolving market needs
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field

5 + years of experience in apparel design, with a strong portfolio
in innerwear and intimates

Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while managing multiple seasons and projects simultaneously

Expertise in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and other design tools for sketching and rendering flats

Strong grasp of fit and construction, with the ability to lead fittings and provide detailed fit comments

Proficiency in creating tech packs and effectively communicating with pattern makers and factories throughout all development stages

Familiarity with trim and fabric development processes

Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey ideas and concepts

Must be detailed and accurate in work process

Travel required as needed to Tokyo, Europe and China.
Salary: $100,000 - $133,000 annually*
*The offered salary or salary range is based on several factors, including, but not limited to, overall experience, relevant experience, education level, certifications, applicable skills and expertise, and location of the position.
