IMFT is the transformation program within Innovative Medicine Finance, dedicated to enabling Finance and its business partners to deliver superior value and sustainable competitive advantage for our organization, partners, and patients.

The IMFT Deployment Lead will shape the development of a newly created India-based deployment hub (IDH) team that will provide backbone support to the IMFT Deployment Team’s functional process leads — order-to-cash (O2C), purchase-to-pay (P2P), inventory and costing, intercompany, and master data. In this role you will have the opportunity to shape the overall deployment operating model and establish a team from the ground up.

The Deployment Lead is a functional finance business role within the larger IMFT Deployment Team. This role will be responsible for leading a team through the implementation of end-to-end (E2E) future-state finance processes and technology. You will lead deployment testing cycles, develop test scripts, manage data conversion, inspire change management, and plan and implement cutover activities.

Initially, this role will primarily lead the deployment of the Innovative Medicine SAP S/4HANA global roadmap. Over time, the role is expected to expand to deploy other technology-agnostic finance transformation initiatives.

The candidate will possess a mix of functional finance and technology experience and will have deep experience leading global transformation projects. Extra consideration will be given to candidates with SAP deployment experience. Expert-level knowledge is required in intercompany value chain flows, inventory and costing, the order-to-cash cycle, the purchase-to-pay cycle, finance period close, and finance master data.

Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities

General Responsibilities

• Help develops the deployment future operating model for the newly built India based team
• Deliver technology agnostic Data Migration, Business Simulation Testing (BST), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Business Adoption, Cutover, and Hypercare
• Partner with BPO and GTO teams on global template development and deployment
• Manage deployment risks and mitigation activities
• Manage workstream interdependencies with outside programs (Signifi Transact, MT Transcend, others)
• Provide Credo based leadership to foster an environment of inclusiveness and continued career and personal development

Testing Lead Responsibilities

• Lead Business Simulation and User Acceptance Testing for all deployment releases
• Partner closely with the SigniFi Transact team to orchestrate joint end to end testing between the two systems
• Partner with functional workstream leads to develop end-to-end testing plans for each cycle
• Report on testing progress, risks, and issue resolution
• Partner with cross functional teams to ensure that all test data and transactions are ready prior to testing kick-off
• Triage testing defects for proper disposition and resolution
• Coordinate tester security and role access to ensure uninterrupted testing
• Develop test scripts to ensure that design objectives and acceptance criteria are thoroughly tested
• Translate financial business process into key stroke level S/4 HANA testing steps
• Ensure that all testing cycles and documentation are in line with compliance guidelines
• Administer program tool (Jira) use for test tracking and documentation

Cutover Responsibilities

• Partner with other finance process leads and cross functional Transcend teams to develop comprehensive end to end cutover plans for each deployment release
• Lead the cutover execution and tracking for each deployment release
• Support mock cutover cycles in preparation for go-live releases

Business Adoption

• Lead feature level scoping for each deployment release by partnering with base business collaborators
• Partner with Business Adoption Leads, BPO Team, Base Business Stakeholders to deploy end to end change management strategies
• Lead post-go live hypercare period to ensure end users can perform all essential functions in the period following go live
• Ensure alignment to J&J organisational change framework

Program Management Responsibilities

• Responsible for driving program wide methodologies through Finance Deployment Org
• Facilitate project tool (Smartsheet, Business Optix, Jira) optimization and administration
• Support intra-finance workstreams coordination and PMO reporting
• Own logistics, agenda, format, and consolidation of various management and team report outs
• Support project management responsibilities and resources (onboarding, SharePoint site, collaboration, planning of face to face and virtual meetings, etc)

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Work Central European standard business hours
• Experience planning and leading system testing cycles – BST, UAT, data validation
• Experience planning and leading large scale system cutovers and go-lives
• Experience creating presentations for senior level management
• Expert level knowledge of SAP financial processes
• Ability to manage parallel deployment release timelines
• Ability to comprehend SAP design documentation and translate into actionable testing steps
• Strong analytic skills and ability to balance big picture with attention to detail
• Passionate to develop expertise in sophisticated financial topics
• Agile approach
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to clearly articulate sophisticated issues
• Great teammate and collaborative working style

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Experience leading the finance portion of a major business transformation / ERP Project
• Knowledge of digital tools (PowerQuery, PowerBI, …)
• Experience with working in global / virtual environments
• Experience using Jira project tool
