Job Summary:
The Indoor Plants Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the care, maintenance, and aesthetic presentation of all indoor plants across company facilities or client sites. The role involves monitoring plant health, managing a team of plant care staff, coordinating schedules, and ensuring that all indoor greenery enhances the interior environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily plant maintenance activities including watering, pruning, cleaning, fertilizing, and pest control.
- Train and guide plant care technicians or horticulture staff on proper plant care techniques.
- Inspect plants regularly for signs of disease, pests, or poor health and take corrective action promptly.
- Coordinate plant rotation and replacement plans to maintain a fresh and appealing indoor landscape.
- Manage inventory of plants, pots, fertilizers, and other supplies.
- Liaise with external plant suppliers or florists for procurement of new plants and materials.
- Schedule and assign work tasks to ensure timely completion of maintenance cycles.
- Maintain accurate records of plant maintenance, health checks, and replacements.
- Ensure all work complies with company safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Support design and installation of new indoor plant displays or green walls.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Botany, Agriculture, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in indoor plant care or horticultural supervision.
- Strong knowledge of plant species suitable for indoor environments and their care needs.
- Ability to diagnose plant health issues and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent leadership, time management, and communication skills.
- Basic computer literacy for record-keeping and scheduling.
- Physical ability to perform plant care duties (lifting, bending, standing for long periods).
