Position Summary

TheInside Sales Account Coordinator is the central in-house support role for the specialty pharmacy’s field Sales Representatives. This position ensures seamless communication between pharmacy operations and the field, helping reps manage prescriber relationships, resolve prescription issues, and maintain account satisfaction. The coordinator plays a key role in supporting the prescription life cycle, prioritizing patient care, and strengthening provider partnerships.

Core Responsibilities1. Sales Representative Support

  • Act as the day-to-day, in-house point of contact for all Sales Representatives.
  • Respond to rep questions regarding prescription status, prior authorization updates, insurance responses, copay assistance, delivery timing, and other operational needs.
  • Communicate daily workflow updates, new processes, medication additions/changes, and any pharmacy-level announcements.
  • Coordinate internal responses when reps escalate provider concerns or account issues.

2. Liaison Between Reps & Pharmacy Departments

  • Serve as the communication bridge between reps and the Intake, Prior Authorization, Billing, Fulfillment, and Patient Support teams.
  • Track escalated prescriptions and ensure reps receive real-time updates for provider offices.
  • Monitor high-priority cases (STAT requests, delays, rejections) and notify reps promptly.
  • Ensure accurate routing of provider requests, clarifications, and documentation.

3. Provider Account Support

  • Assist reps in supporting provider offices by preparing referral packs, forms, PA checklists, and patient enrollment documents.
  • Maintain up-to-date account profiles, office preferences, contact information, and support needs.
  • Track office satisfaction trends and alert sales leadership to opportunities or concerns.
  • Help coordinate lunches, in-services, and provider education events as directed by reps.

4. Prescription Lifecycle Tracking

  • Monitor referral progress from intake to delivery and keep reps informed at each major stage.
  • Provide reps with daily/weekly reports on pending prescriptions, PA status, missing information, and insurance outcomes.
  • Support proactive communication to provider offices to prevent delays in therapy initiation.

5. Reporting, Data Management & CRM Support

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM entries for accounts, activities, and communication logs.
  • Generate scheduled reports for the sales team, including referral volume, turnaround times, and key performance trends.
  • Support metrics tracking, including rep activity, account engagement, and referral source performance.

6. Sales Enablement & Training

  • Ensure reps have the latest referral forms, instructional materials, specialty medication lists, and branded marketing collateral.
  • Assist with onboarding new reps, providing training on pharmacy workflows, CRM use, and communication protocols.
  • Coordinate with leadership to implement new tools, scripts, or educational materials.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in healthcare, pharmacy operations, or medical sales support preferred.
  • Strong understanding (or willingness to learn) of the specialty prescription workflow (intake → PA → billing → fulfillment → delivery).
  • Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage multiple reps and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.
  • Proficient with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace.
  • Spanish language

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
