Summary:
The Inside Sales Manager (ISM) plays a critical role within Frontgrade’s Strategic Account Team, directly supporting RTX and BAE under the leadership of a Director, Strategic Accounts.
The ISM owns the front-end sales operations process for these accounts — from RFQ and proposal generation through order entry — ensuring flawless execution, responsiveness, and data integrity.
As a key member of the strategic account pod, the ISM enables the Strategic Account Manager and Account Managers (AMs) to focus on strategic growth by managing all quoting, order processing, and administrative sales support activities with precision and accountability.
Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Quoting & Proposal Management

Manage all inbound RFQs, RFPs, and quote requests for assigned strategic accounts.

Ensure submission of accurate customer quotations in accordance with Frontgrade pricing policies and Delegation of Authority (DoA).

Coordinate with Contracts, Finance, Program Management, and Solution Architects to ensure quotes are compliant, technically sound, and submitted on time.

Track quote-to-book conversion rates and report performance to the Strategic Account Director and Growth Operations.

Maintain quote records, revisions, and documentation in CRM and ERP systems.

Review and validate all customer purchase orders for accuracy, terms, and pricing alignment.

Enter orders into ERP systems (SAP or equivalent).

Partner with Operations and Program Management to confirm delivery schedules and resolve order or logistics issues.

Maintain high standards of accuracy, timeliness, and data integrity across all sales orders.

Support backlog reporting, order acknowledgment, and documentation compliance.
Customer Support & Communication
-
Serve as the primary internal point of contact for customer program and procurement teams on quote status.

Escalate urgent customer needs, delivery concerns, or quality issues to the Strategic Account Director and internal support teams.

Contribute to maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and responsiveness within assigned accounts.
Sales Operations & Governance
-
Ensure all opportunities, quotes, and orders are accurately logged and maintained within CRM (Salesforce or equivalent).

Uphold compliance with Frontgrade’s sales operations procedures, including quote approvals, DoA adherence, and pricing documentation.

Partner with the Growth Operations team to drive forecast accuracy, reporting, and CRM discipline.

Support account-level governance processes, including pipeline reviews and quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
Cross-Functional Collaboration
-
Collaborate daily with the Strategic Account Director and AMs to ensure complete visibility and alignment across account activities.

Work closely with Finance, Operations, Contracts, and Program Management to ensure seamless order flow and fulfillment.

Coordinate with Growth Operations on process improvement initiatives and standardization across all Strategic Account teams.

Participate in process audits, compliance checks, and system improvement projects to enhance efficiency and control.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Quote Turnaround Time – percentage of quotes delivered within required timelines

Quote Accuracy – error-free submissions and compliance with pricing policies

Order Accuracy & Timeliness – orders entered correctly and processed on schedule

Quote-to-Book Conversion Rate – success rate of quotes converting into orders

Customer Responsiveness – measured through feedback and internal SLA adherence

Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
-
4–7 years of experience in Inside Sales, Order Management, or Sales Operations, ideally within defense, aerospace, or high-technology manufacturing.

Demonstrated success managing complex quotes, orders, and customer communications.

Working knowledge of DoD/prime contractor sales processes preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CRM/ERP systems.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by either ITAR or EAR U.S. export laws. As a condition to this job offer, in order to be employed in this position, you must be able to obtain an U.S. Government export license(s), as required by law.

Pay Range: $84,000 - $105,000 annually. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
