About the Role
As an Inside Sales Representative, you will support customers with large or complex orders, provide technical assistance beyond standard counter sales, and serve as a trusted point of contact for key accounts. This role is essential to customer retention and satisfaction, requiring accuracy, responsiveness, and strong product knowledge in the HVAC/R wholesale environment.
What You’ll Do
- Respond to customer inquiries by phone and in person, including will-call orders, special requests, delivery coordination, and timely resolution of needs within designated service timelines.
- Utilize cross-reference tools and product catalogs to recommend appropriate products and alternatives, partnering with the sales team to enhance customer value through additional offerings.
- Accurately process sales orders, returns, and warranty claims; complete required documentation; and ensure proper credit issuance or product disposition.
- Maintain effective relationships with key accounts by understanding customer requirements, conducting regular outreach (including proactive customer calls), and anticipating future needs to support long-term partnerships and retention.
- Address customer issues and complaints promptly and professionally, serving as a liaison between customers and internal departments to ensure service alignment and customer satisfaction.
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED
- 3–5 years of experience in the HVAC/R industry
- Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills
- Clear and professional verbal and written communication abilities
- Results‑oriented mindset with strong organization and time‑management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform well under pressure
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem‑solving capabilities
- Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Comfortable adapting to new technologies and systems
- Dependable, punctual, self‑motivated, and accountable
- Team‑oriented with a collaborative and professional approach
