Inside Sales Specialist

SUMMARY:

An Inside Sales Specialist is responsible for a variety of administrative duties within the store. These include, but are not limited to, working with Production and Distribution to drive increased sales while meeting the timely needs and satisfaction of our customers through proactive communication, timely execution of sales related activity and coordinated teamwork.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Utilize proactive problem solving to address customer service requirements.
• Research customer requests for new equipment, specialty gases and various welding supply and industrial gas needs.
• Updates customer equipment and gas needs with new items and price changes.
• Maintain knowledge of customer’s individual requirements.
• Tracking and processing customer purchase orders, delivery schedules and special order requests
• Work directly with Business Development Team providing current item pricing, availability and order status.
• Assists Business Team with additional administrative tasks, including but not limited to quotes, cylinder history research, etc.
• Additional tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong computer skills including the full Microsoft Office.
• Advanced Customer Service skills, including proactive problem solving.
• Ability to effectively communicate with management, as well as with vendors, team members and customers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness, ability and flexibility to work independently and as a team.
• Deadline driven.
• Discretion and good judgment.
• Accuracy and sensitivity to detail.
• Exhibits initiative to assist the Business Development Team when opportunities arise.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Previous experience in the welding supply and industrial gas industry is preferred; 1+ years administrative support experience preferred
• Associates Degree is preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
