Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Inspections Clerk to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing inspection documentation, coordinating with field teams, and ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date. Responsibilities
- Process daily invoices for any new arrivals of product. Review invoices in transit to ensure assortment fulfillment.
- Validate physical condition of product received and suitability for sale. Validate CSF emails related to damaged cargo, broken pallets, and other issues.
- Prepare daily inspection report.
- Document product examination and seizures with USDA. Ensure reporting to corporate office.
- Follow established process and protocols for all routine inspections.
- Report released loads.
- Create cargo orders and maintain accurate inventory.
- Enter cargo information into crossing systems.
- Extract data on cargo in transit and GPS locations for next‑day inspections.
- Close completed cargo trips in the TRM system for Palos, Mexico, and Canada.
- Prepare and deliver next‑day inspection documentation to the warehouse, including GPS locations, plant layouts, analytics, and unloading priorities.
- Report known safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, and customer concerns to management.
- Maintains high levels of customer service for all employees, customers, and vendors.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Overtime and occasional holidays may be required based upon company needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Proven office management or administrative experience with a strong background in clerical tasks such as data entry, filing, and proofreading.
- Excellent computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets), and familiarity with SAP is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual abilities Spanish/English are highly desirable to support diverse client interactions.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- One to three years of warehouse experience
- Experience with ERP, warehouse management systems, or other similar inventory software
- Proficient knowledge of general logistics and supply chain operations
- Experience working in adherence to safety/injury and illness prevention programs within a warehouse environment
- ·Ability to effectively communicate with individuals across the organization
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
