Job Title: Installation Engineer – Siemens NXAir (11kV AIS) & SIVACON (LV Switchgear)

Location: Mesaieed, Qatar
Job Type: Full-Time 6 months Contract
Working Days and Hours: Saturday to Thursday, 12 hour shift including 1 hour lunch break

Job Summary:

Our client a multinational leader in power distribution and electrical solutions is seeking an experienced Installation Engineer with hands-on expertise in Siemens 11kV NXAir (Air Insulated Switchgear) and Siemens SIVACON LV Switchgear. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising and executing installation activities at project sites, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and execute installation of 11kV Siemens NXAir switchgear panels
• Install and align Siemens SIVACON LV switchgear systems
• Ensure proper panel positioning, alignment, busbar connections, and cable terminations
• Verify mechanical assembly and inter-panel connections
• Coordinate with commissioning engineers for testing and energization
• Review and interpret SLDs, GA drawings, and wiring diagrams
• Ensure all installation work complies with project specifications and safety standards
• Conduct pre-installation inspections and site readiness checks
• Prepare installation reports and documentation
• Liaise with project managers, contractors, and client representatives

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• Proven hands-on experience in installation of Siemens NXAir (11kV AIS)
• Experience installing Siemens SIVACON LV switchgear
• Strong understanding of MV/LV switchgear construction and assembly
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
• Knowledge of site safety regulations and electrical standards
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Willingness to travel and work on project site
